Output signals 2 mv / v, 5 V, 10 V or 4 20 ma The transducers of the P900 series were developed due to the demand from industry and science for a highly precise, yet extremely reliable and robust pressure transducer. Due to the very low temperature error and the very high accuracy, combined with excellent long-term stability and robustness, these transducers are particularly suitable for use in the aerospace industry, in the automotive industry, in power plants and wherever high metrological requirements are placed on a pressure transducer be suitable. Furthermore, the transducers can be used very well in hydraulic systems in which strong pressure surges are to be expected. Structure: The core of all Schaevitz pressure transducers and pressure transmitters are full strain gauge bridges with 350 ohms or 350 ohms bridge resistance. A precision bending beam, inserted transversely to the pressure transducer axis, on which 4 strain gauges are applied, serves as the deformation body. A push rod transfers the membrane movement to the bending beam. This arrangement ensures good insulation against transient temperature changes without adversely affecting the dynamic behavior. Made entirely of stainless steel and plasma-welded, Schaevitz pressure transducers are extremely robust, reliable and largely corrosion-resistant. For special applications, the wetted parts can be made of Inconel 625. When ordering, absolute pressure A (against vacuum), overpressure vg (against atmospheric air pressure) or sg (against constant pressure at normal height) can be specified as a reference value for each measuring range. The pressure connection is made via welded-in connection adapters, which are available in 7 common sizes (also metric). The electrical connection is made either via a 6-pin MIL-C connector or a 1 m long, 6-core connection cable with a polyurethane sheath. Thanks to the built-in shunt calibration (with the exception of type P98x), the sensors within the measuring chain can be easily checked. All transducers from this series are manufactured according to the quality requirements of ISO9001 and subjected to an extremely extensive test and aging program before delivery. So each donor will e.g. loaded several times up to 500% of its measuring range (max. 830 bar). Each transducer has an individual calibration certificate with the most important, determined characteristics.
