Durometer - ideal for measuring the hardness of plastics and elastomers

The Shore hardness developed by the American Albert Shore is a parameter for measuring hardness, especially of plastics and elastomers.

The core of the used to measure the Shore hardness Shoremeter, also Durometer called, is a spring-loaded steel pin, the penetration depth of which is measured on a scale from 0 to 100 Shore. The higher the value shown on the durometer, the harder the tested material. The value determined by means of a durometer is given as Shore A for soft elastomers and Shore D for tough elastomers.

In our online shop we offer you various analog and digitalDurometer for measuring hard and soft plastics, rubber, elastomers, textile fabrics, thermoplastics, etc. Our analog durometers are available as inexpensive watch durometers - we recommend them for internal comparison measurements - as well as professional standard durometers, with or without drag pointer, available as a hand-held device or for series tests.

When ordering, please indicate for which Shore type you need the device; We offer you Durometer for Shore types A, B, C, D, DO and O.

Our digital durometers for Shore-A or Shore-D have an easy-to-read LCD display for hardness, average and maximum values as well as a standard RS-232C interface and can optionally be ordered with a measuring stand.
