auticon wins Virgin Group as a new investor

Only five months after entering the UK market, auticon GmbH recorded a successful capital increase. The two new investors are Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. At the beginning of 2016, auticon GmbH opened its subsidiaries in London and Paris. With their approach of exclusively using autistic IT consultants with their customers, they also have an extremely positive response there.

London / Munich, October 20, 2016 - Today auticon managing director Kurt Schöffer comes up with an important corporate success: “We have completed a capital increase to strengthen our international business. The new investors are Richard Branson's Virgin Group and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. “This investment enables auticon to drive social change towards autism and work.

“It is an honor for us to have such a famous partner on board. We see in our new shareholder Richard Branson not only a financier, but above all a committed strategic partner - especially to expand our UK business with the help of the Virgin Group, ”says Schöffer in the course of the talks with Branson about the investments from and for the UK.

“Purpose is at the heart of what we do at Virgin. It is clear that auticon has similar values with its great work. The low adult employment rates on the autism spectrum are a challenge for British and global societies. It is crucial to support companies and employees in overcoming these hurdles. This is the only way we can enable autistic people to successfully use their unique strengths in the job market, ”explains Branson.

"I am delighted to have gained another investor in the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, who brings incomparable insights into the development of an inclusive society," said Schöffer.

“At Esmée we invest in projects that contribute to a just and inclusive society. We are extremely happy to help Auticon create permanent positions for people on the autism spectrum, break down barriers that prevent them from participating in daily life and ultimately show what an enrichment these people are in England. " says Esmée Fairbairn CEO Caroline Mason.

In spring 2016, auticon successfully made the leap to internationalization and opened two subsidiaries in London and Paris. “We are also able to convince internationally with the extraordinary model and we receive a large number of applications from people from the autism spectrum. I am very pleased that we are already using the first consultants for well-known customers in England and France, ”emphasizes Schöffer. The German company meanwhile hired its 100th employee. More than a third of the DAX companies entrust their IT projects in the areas of Testing & Quality Management, Transformation & Migration, Data & Business Intelligence, Security & Deep Web Analysis, and Compliance & Reporting to the seven branches.
