How do I create a Nixplay account?

You are now ready to pair your Nixplay frame.

How do I connect or pair my first frame?

Please make sure you have followed the first steps outlined in the quick start guide for your frame. Your frame should already be connected to a power source and your WiFi network (Note: your frame and cell phone should be connected to the same WiFi network).

After you have registered or logged in to the Nixplay mobile app:

  • Select “Pair my frame” on the home screen. The Nixplay app then scans the immediate area looking for Nixplay frames.
  • After a successful search, a miniature view of your frame will appear in the app. Select “Pair This Frame” to continue.
  • If no thumbnail appears, you can select “Search for a new frame” to start a new search. However, check that your phone and frame are connected to the same WiFi network.
  • If that doesn't work, you can select “Enter Serial Number” to manually enter the serial number of your frame. This appears on the screen of the frame after you have connected it to the WLAN.
  • Tap the Pair button next to the frame you want to pair and follow the on-screen instructions.

When you have successfully paired your frame, you can make the following customizations:

  • Unique name
  • Location of your frame
  • Corresponding time zone
  • You can edit these entries at any time later under "Frame settings".

How can I send my first photos to my frame?

  • Alternatively, you can tap on “Add new playlist” to create your own playlist (please note that each new playlist must first be added to a frame). After you've selected your playlist, tap Send.
  • After the Nixplay cloud has processed your photos, you should see them on your frame. Your app's home screen will also update, showing a sample photo of your playlist on the screen.
  • To transfer photos from a source other than your phone camera, tap the Photos icon on the home screen and follow these instructions.

How can I send a video to my frame?

Currently, video playback is only supported on the Nixplay iOS mobile app. This will soon also be possible for Android.

Videos are generally transferred the same way as photos. Each video can have a maximum duration of 15 seconds.

  • Alternatively, you can create an unlimited number of playlists. To do this, tap on "New Playlist".
  • You can choose between creating a standard playlist and a dynamic playlist.
  • A standard playlist gives you full control over the curation. You can add your photos manually.
  • A dynamic playlist is a live connection to Google Photos (in this case). This means that your Nixplay will always show your latest Google Photo albums. All you need to do is a one-time authorization.
  • When creating a standard playlist, you can manually add photos and videos from your device or from an existing Nixplay Cloud album.
    • Tap Camera Roll (iOS) or Photo Gallery (Android) to add photos from your phone's photo library. Select the files you want and click "Select".

    • Alternatively, you can tap on "Cloud Albums" to view photos that have already been added. Use the same method as above when choosing your photos.
  • To create a dynamic playlist:
    • Tap "Create a playlist with Google Photos". Tap "Allow" for a one-time authorization between your Nixplay and Google Photos accounts.
    • Your playlist is synced every 30 minutes. Choose whether you want to sync with your last 1,000 Google Photos or a specific album or category of Google Photos.
    • Once you have made your selection, you have the option of using the same playlist name or editing it, as well as assigning the playlist to a frame using the view switch. Tap on "Confirm".
  • If you create multiple playlists, you can also control which of them appear in your frame. If you don't have any playlists assigned to your frame, choose Assign a Playlist from the drop-down list on the Home screen. From the drop-down list, you can select "Play All Playlists Below" to play all the playlists assigned to the frame one by one, or select a specific playlist if you want to view a specific playlist.

How can I add content from my cloud albums to my playlists?

A standard playlist allows you to manually add photos and videos from an existing Nixplay Cloud album. These albums contain the backup of original photos in the Nixplay Cloud.

You can create an album, add photos from multiple sources to this album, and then choose which photos from this album to appear in which playlists. An album is your storage library in the cloud.

To create or manage your Nixplay albums, click the Photos tab on the app's home screen. Then tap on "Library" to view your "Content Library".

We have already created a standard album "My Uploads". Photos and videos uploaded to playlists are automatically saved here. Tap "My Uploads" to add photos, or alternatively tap "New Album" to add a unique album. Add photos to a playlist just like adding photos.

To delete or rename an album, tap the More icon (the three dots) below the album thumbnail and click Delete or rename accordingly.

To remove individual photos from an album, open the album and tap any thumbnail to activate full screen view. In the lower right corner, tap the More icon and select Permanent Erase.

To check this, on the app's home screen, tap the Activity Feed icon in the top right corner. Find the appropriate friend; You should see the name and number of photos he sent you.

Tap Edit, then tap the edit button next to the relevant friend. You should now see an area with a drop down menu where you can choose which playlist to add photos from this friend to.

How does the Nixplay Extended Warranty work?

As part of Nixplay Plus, from September 2020 subscribers will be entitled to an extended guarantee from Nixplay.

The extended warranty applies to all (1) frames linked to the subscriber's account. This coverage is an extension of the manufacturer's limited warranty for one (1) year for the remainder of the product's life (defined as five (5) years from the date of purchase).

How it works:

  1. Nixplay Plus subscription accounts are provided. one (1) extended warranty assignment for which subscribers can designate an eligible framework.
    1. Eligible frames are all frames with a manufacturer's guarantee of one (1) year and which have been actively linked to the Nixplay Plus subscriber account within the manufacturer's one-year guarantee period. Frames with a manufacturer warranty of one (1) year prior to an active subscription are not eligible.
    2. A subscriber can have multiple eligible frames under the same subscriber account. However, as part of the rules of the Nixplay Plus Subscription Program, they only have one (1) Extended Warranty Allocation per subscription.
    3. When the subscription expires, the entitlement to the extended warranty for frames and the assignment of the extended warranty under this account expires.
  2. To make an assignment and register a claim to a framework. Please contact Nixplay Customer Service at [email protected]
  3. Extended warranty claims can only be made for a specific framework. Customer Service will assist the customer in the investigation by being able to match the customer's Nixplay Plus subscription, proof of frame purchase, pairing history of the frame and the registered username associated with the Nixplay account.
  4. Once this is determined and an appropriate framework is established; The assignment is tied to the specified framework for the remaining product life. The five (5) year product life for the designated frame will not be reset and any further warranty claims may be made on the original designated frame during this period, even if it is a replacement or repaired.
  5. When the product lifespan of the specified scope is reached, the assignment can be reassigned to another eligible scope, i.e. all frames that have completed their one (1) year manufacturer's warranty while they are actively linked to the Nixplay Plus Subscriber Account and still within five (5) years after its product life.
  6. Subscribers claiming an Extended Warranty must send the Frame (the "Covered Product") to Company for evaluation at their own expense. This is subject to prior agreement with the customer service team. If we do not receive the Covered Product within thirty (30) days of receiving the Replacement Product, you will be responsible for paying the full retail price of the Replacement Product and a postage and restocking fee which may be charged to your card.
  7. The company will either (1) repair the hardware failure with new or reconditioned replacement parts at no charge; (2) Exchange the product for a new product or a refurbished product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or (3) refund the purchase price of the product.
  8. To validate coverage, please make sure you keep all proof of purchase, e.g. B. Proof of purchase for the purchase of the product.
